Restricted items

Some goods can’t be imported into Jamaica, and some need a permit before they arrive. Airlines also refuse some items (for example many batteries, aerosols, flammables and liquids) even when customs allows them.

• Check Jamaica Customs’ restricted and prohibited items list. JCA updates it, so look each time.
• Ask JRC before you buy anything you’re unsure about, especially for air.
• Get any permit you need before the package reaches Jamaica.
