Ask for a quote
JRC’s prices aren’t on the website yet. Message JRC with a few details and they’ll tell you the cost before you ship.
What to tell JRC
- What you’re buying, and the link if you have it.
- Roughly how big and how heavy it is.
- Air or sea.
- Anything unusual: batteries, liquids, very large or very heavy items.
Charges you might see
JRC’s shipping charge is what JRC quotes you. Customs duties and taxes are set by Jamaica Customs, separately. The store’s own invoice is what you paid the store; it’s what you declare.
Customs, in plain words
Jamaica Customs (JCA) uses a US$100 FOB threshold for goods bought online. Above it, JCA says duties and taxes are assessed on the full CIF value: the goods, insurance and freight together. That’s customs only; JRC’s shipping charges are separate.
